In the UK edu prices:
£31 for Mighty Mouse and £35 for the Bluetooth version.
Not too bad I guess. I'll be holding out for the black version though :)
I've been checking the UK store (Higher Ed + Normal) since the announcement, the Wireless Mighty Mouse is still not up there. Are you sure you're not confusing the Mighty Mouse with the wired one? ( The Wired Mighty Mouse is is £31.73 H.E, £35.00 Retail)

Yawn. What's the point? This thing will have a shelf life of 5.5 months at most and then it will be superceded by a more powerful model. Surely anyone who wanted an iPhone 4 (white or black) has bought one by now. How many holdouts can there SERIOUSLY be??

Since I couldn't find it posted yet: not only does the 15" model come with 1 GB standard now, it's also in an 'upgrade friendly' way: 1 x 1 GB instead of 2 x 512. So, if you want to upgrade your memory later, you can do it fully and are not stuck with an extra module.
I've currently got a single 1GB stick in a three year old PB - will that be OK to swap into a new MBP?

I have absolutely no idea on the subject, is it just a matter of buying a share at a couple of hundred dollars, watching Apple go through one of its "win" moments then selling it for a little profit ($50 or whatever) just as a starter? What about tax?

The reason you don't see it much is because the new default in XP is to just reboot the machine instead of sitting on that screen. It's still there.

If a machine reboots when you're typing an email, then folk would still register this as a crash. Unless the machine reboots while they're not there. The blue screen isn't the problem; the loss of work is ....
The only lock up I've had with XP was down to a printer driver, and even then I managed to recover by logging out without rebooting, then logging straight back in again.

WWDC has always been a software conference, the hardware you see on the 1st day are for the consumers (and fanboys), the remaining days are always software focused ... Thats why its from 6th-10th :rolleyes: ... don't get it twisted, not every developer desires the new releases of hardware at every wwdc.
Apple is at the core a software company.
Yea ok. The new iPhone is the highlight EVERY year, and will be again this year. Fanboy my ass, it's the highlight of the event, everyone knows it, and if wwdc comes and goes without even of mention of new iPhone hardware, APPL is going to take a dive.

why do people buy the video ipod with its tiny screen when there are other, better, video players out there already?
I have one of these (http://www.cowonamerica.com/products/cowon/a2/) and its fantastic.
IMHO, both Apple and Microsoft will have to go some way to beat the COWON A2.

C) Its $120 more than the iPod

I haven't tried windows but from reading posts elsewhere it seems to be a problem in windows as well. As with most things electronic it is likely only a few who have trouble. I'm just better at bad luck than most people are.

If you only have 4 cores and I have 8 that isn't very much of a difference even taking into account the mhz discrepency. It might be worth trying to see if my 920 would be ok at stock speed with bigadv units.

hopefully there will also be a slight speed bump & lowering of price to tide people over till september without feeling ripped off when they buy one.

i'm on my second mighty mouse [soon to be third once i have this once replaced] in 6 months. the scroll wheel stops working pretty quickly. i don't find the size of it all too comfortable.. but when it's fully functional it's a decent mouse.
if they don't fix the scroll wheel issues though, i'd say the BT version is worthless. it's unacceptable that apple hasn't fixed this issue on the wired version. they can replace it all they want, it's still going to break a month or two later. plus, it takes 30 minutes or so for them to replace it, which is rather annoying.
all in all, cool that it's BT now, but terrible if they don't fix both versions.

If this ipod killer was coming out of MS central (software dev, etc) i wouldn't be concerned. However the team that is working on it (xbox) actually are decently creative.
Also apparently ms has taken a hands off strategy to let the division develop its own creative culture/workflow. Let us remember what really drives the great products from apple - its the creative synergy of many in a culture of passionate people who truly enjoy making things together - a highly collaborative and insanely cool environment.
Because the creative capacity of MS sucks they need to make up with it in cash and market strategy. At least they had the sense to give xbox team freedom from the predominantly borgish world of MS - multiple stupids. - sorry couldn't resist.

I've compiled a list of changes that I've noticed:
1. The view buttons in Finder have switched back to the "old" style where the options not selected are de-pressed.
2. The iCal leather gradient that everyone hated has been changed to be lighter (picture attached). Honestly, I think it looks a LOT better now. Just less "in your face."
3. The To-Do list in iCal is now referred to as "Reminders."
4. Apple has forced all applications to use the new iOS scroll bar. If that app hasn't been updated to support the new iOS scroll bars, then their is a container around them (attached image).
5. Some changes in Mail must have been made because you are required to update your database before launch.

Actually it is because a 2 year old iPhone is better than any Android device out there.
