I have few other questions based on your response please. I am considering BOTH the options and will act accordingly with the BETTER option.
(1) EAD -To have the remaining of H1 as back up: If I use EAD and move to the new employer and also send AC21 documents to USCIS. My current employer will cancel H1 and revoke approved I-140. Also looking at the current scenario if USCIS denies 485 within a couple of months how do I get back to H1-B ASAP while I file MTR?
(2) H1 - Maintain H1 and use AC21 with H1 transfer(I will have around 9-10 months of H1 remaining at this point of time): And if current employer cancels H1 and revokes I-140 and that triggers 485 denial, I will still have some H1 period remaining and this should aid me in CONTINUING the new JOB while I file MTR?

2) Please see one of the links posted by me earlier (a link to Ron Gother's site) which says that if you get a H1 extension based on AOS and AOS is denied, you are NOT allowed to work on H1.

We have these 3 bills in House. Thats fine. But what about Senate. There is only 1 bill in Senate. Should we also persuade some senator to place similar bills there ?

I am an IV old timer and I was wondering where the IV old timers were?

How many core IV members have already received their GCs besides Aman, just curious?
Of late is there anything of note even happening on the lobbying front? IV seems to have become another Immigration Portal kinda website where people are now posting all sorts of info, some of it not even immigration related.
It would be nice if someone in the core team updated the rest of us, who cannot join the state chapters due to personal reasons on the website.

Eb3Nepa is very much here from initial days of this organization and supported the cause alot, even more than main members(So called..) here.
That is how he knows the core team members names/handles, even lot of you do not know them...
Only 1 or 2 members are here from initial 12+ core members..That is another thing though.
Anyway, as others mentioned, people have to move on..and this movement is just not by core members but by all. Core members comes/goes, after their journey, unless they have some agendas. (In the +ve way)
Hope, you do not start another storm here...

You must be enjoying the time now after GC.
How is the life after GC. Is it same like earlier or any change.
Because we are still in the queue, hoping to get it in 1,2 months as per time lines.

I guess the answer is �it�s better to talk to the person who handles immigration matters�, but as per my observation, immigration person in representative�s office deals with any immigration issues related to constituents.

You can go online and schedule an appointment.. You would need select service on a pending case.. There is no option for pending name check, you have to go the window and explain.. Depending upon service rep, you may or may not get any info... I am trying to figure out if something can be done in situations like ours... FBI name check was a major problem for may people and it took years in some cases.. But, there was law suite and judge ruled that a case must be adjudicated if name check has been pending over 180 days. This helped in clearing large no of pending cases.. A new memo was issued which stated that IO has to get an approval from head office if name check has been pending for more than 180 days...

I thought EB2 vs EB3 is mainly determined by what your job requires.. You may have a Masters but if your JD does not require one, the company cannot file you on EB2.

Thank you for the reply. When you say that if I go with Company A that there will be more scrutiny, do you mean they will check the vailidity of the offer and their ability to pay? I work for a Govt. Agency(Company C), they will give me an EVL but I am not sure if they will specify "in accordance with I140". I am actually doing the same job, same place, before as a contractor(Company A) and now as an Employee(Company C).
Either way is fine. Is company A willing to hire you, and you intend to join them when GC comes through? If so, send that letter. There might be alittle bit more scrutiny that way.
If you intend to stick with company C in the future, you can send the EVL of C and include a letter explanining you invoked AC21.

i have been sending money 2 india for past 20 months .and they remit money with in 5 working days and ihave received the exchange rates prevailed on tht day. i have tried other remittance but feel icici isthe best. [my personal opinion.]
