Thanks!.. My job title in labor is "Computer and Information Systems Managers" & SOC code is "11-3021.00". The offer I have is for technical lead with around 40% hike. Will technical lead be considered as "Computer and Information Systems Managers"?. Future employer is a big co & I don't think they will be ready to adjust the job profile. Can I hear from anyone who had their labor filed for solution architect or technical lead role(soc code & job description)?
If you want to know the exact job description then labor is the only document which has the complete description. Usually the company will ask to fill some documentation for filing labor and labor is filed based on the available job and your skill set as well (that's what I have seen).
You might get some idea of job description from the documentation you filled for labor but again will not be exact...

I am not surprised at logiclife's or the poll's reply. IV is an ultra-narrow organization that seeks to satisfy the founders' self-interest only. Don't be surprised if they drop you all like a hot potato once their interests are satisfied.
"Immigration Voice" is a misleading name here and a very good cover for raising funds for the founders' self-interest. This talk of making America a better place with their skills does not hold water. They have no concern for other "classes" of immigrants or future immigrants.

I have been advocating IV to many of my friends, Most of them are shown interest on the Information only, but when it comes to the contribution they show least interest on it and expect some one else to take part in it. It�s very hard to convince them, but I am not tired and I will keep on pursuing them.

One good news and one bad news. According to the AILA, the Conference committee took out both immigration riders from the H.R. 3043. It means that there will be no increase of the H-1B to $5,830. At the same time, there will be no recapture of EB-3 visa numbers for the Schedule A workers through this legislation.
The wicked witch is dead. As for me I have packed my bags and moved to Canada. I first came in 1999 as a student and immigration has been downhill since then. It has left a bitter taste for me.

"To complete the applications in time, the immigration agency put employees to work both days last weekend at service centers in Texas and Nebraska, immigration officials said. They said that 25,000 applications were processed in the final 48 hours before Monday�s deadline. In some cases, security clearances required by the F.B.I. were not entirely completed, immigration officials said. The agency approved some applications �when we were certain the process will be completed very shortly,� Mr. Aytes said."
* The report also indicates that the State Department and the USCIS tend to disagree with each other for the root of the problem for the current fiasco. Earlier there was a report in the Washington Post that the USCIS denied that the USCIS worked ceaselessly and frantically during the weekends (two days) before July 1, but it has been admitted since then the employees indeed worked hard during the two days. According to the NY Times report, during the weekend alone, they approved 25,000 I-485 backlog applications.
* We are afraid that the alleged admission of approval of I-485 application before completion of the security clearance is likely to face the legal challenge for violation of the rules which is likely one of the main claims of the AILF lawsuit as well as the political backfire as an issue of security lapse relating to the homeland security. if you read my message carefully, i asked a question. I asked if W2s and/or paystubs would be enough to prove that you have always been in lawful status. And I put a context around it by saying"assuming i do not have all of my I797s and I94s". What I meant was "in the case I do not have all of my prior I797s and I94s"
No need to worry. Keep all the documents - paystubs - visa stamps etc since your last entry. Thats all uscis asks.

She is a derivative on my pending AOS, has a valid EAD/AP. She used to work on H1 and stopped work sometime ago. Does she need to do anything/is she automatically considered to be in AoS status?

Your wife may be able to get a transportation letter/returning resident visa from her US consulate. These are usually given to people who have lost their green cards while overseas, but I have heard of consulates giving them to people with lost APs. It's worth asking. Good luck.

I am getting ready to apply for a new AP for us what should I write as her "Class of Admission"? Also do you foresee any issues with the AP renewal since I cannot send them a copy of an I-94?

I have been trying to change my address online for the last two days and it looks like the system is down. I called them up and they are not able to do it either. What a mess. I hope they don't mail our applications till the issues are resolved.
Also if I only want to change address on pending applications but not AR-11, there is no such option (other than calling them).
It looks like their systems are down since yesterday. Today even case status wasnt working for a while (it seems to be working now).
Anyone else having issues?
