My PD is also Mar 2005, EB2. And i am not going to get GC anytime sooner, unless we work on it. In my signature there is a link for MN group click on that and join state chapter. update your profile with phone number, so that we can contact you.

Recently, I made my own PP photos using http://www.epassportphoto.com/
This is a great service - It creates a jpeg file from a picture that you upload, and you can choose the "free" option in which you can save the jpeg file with 4-6 pictures in one frame (A 4" x 6" photo can yield 6 pp photos of 2" x 2"), and take it to Walgreens/Costco/Kinkos for a printout for $0.25 each. Otherwise you pay about $8-$12 for 2 photos at the same stores!!
For a family of 4, this equates to savings of ~ $40!!!
The site has all the tools for meeting various types of visa/pp/etc photo requirements for various countries.

RFE LUD came as email on Friday. A week before, I spoke with customer service and they said my case will be forwarded to IO.
The RFE letter came to my company lawyer today. He sent me the copy. He is also basically suggesting the same. Gather whatever available and write some explanation. He will refine and send it.

i guess it doesn't count ppl who are waiting. The no of ppl who are not able to file 485 is huge.
From the data, it seems you are right. But it is pretty confusing. If your logic is correct then once the July 2007 backlog is cleared, will they say 0 demand and then make all dates current again ??
The "demand" ideally should mean people whose 140 has been cleared and waiting to file 485 + those whose 485 has been filed and not yet processed.

something this big will effect your status. Once you form an LLC or something on those lines using your EAD it is my understanding that you will lose your H1 status. This is just from what I have understood from reading around here. You might want to consult a lawyer. Also you might look at posting this in a different section.

My company informed me today that, when spouse is added to the insurence, the insurence will start from day 1 of next month. My wife will be comming in the middle of month. How to cover this gap with insurence...?? Any suggestions...????

If the non compete agreement between your employer and the vendor is about your employer directly selling your srevices to the client in the future, then you don't have any issue as you are leaving your employer.
If your client is supporting your switch to another vendor, then there seems to be no agreement between the client and vendor regarding vendor change for the same resource..
In general, cases like yours, where the client supports your move, vendors tend to play safe and ignore any non compete agreements, to save the relationship with the client

AFAIK I do not think you cannot work once your EAD expires. You have to resign and start once your new EAD is issued. Ideally you need to apply for your EAD 120 days prior and CIS takes approximately around 90 days to send the renewal card.

I will be taking up a new job and I have been told by the new employer that, benifits will start after 30 days.
I presently have insurence through my employer. My understnading is that, insurence stops the day I leave the present employer. Now how do i handle the stop gap in insurence to be on safer side...??

You can choose to continue the insurance, the employer should provide this option. It looks expensive, but it is just for a month time, on the safe side, you can take this.

welcome guys, there is no state chapter other than us at this point, so indeed you are members :)
IV has created a whole new forum for chapters to form and discussions to open but I fear most people don't find their way there...
so far there have been just two of us.
well...we have doubled our group already to 4! I'm sure there will be more, we should start thinking about what we can do to help on a local level.

This lawsuit is about the 140000 visas been given out each year and in years 2008 and 2009.
There have been many people who received GCs in 2008 and 2009 in EB2 without regard to Priority number. Check Visa Bulletins from August 2008 and September 2008. People from 2006 were given GCs over 2004 and there was total chaos.
This lawsuit is to bring justice to the last three years of absolute anarchy.
This lawsuit is to bring in line how this 140000 number is distributed. How does processing of I-485s take place in USCIS.
I think Indian EB3 will join shortly.

Can one of you guys tell me what is the policy of the OK secretary of state on Drivers licenses for the various legal immigration statuses eg H1b, EAD with approved 140, F1 etc.?

My employer asked me to send my 485 application directly to NSC instead of attorney Since there was a wide spread rumor last month( june ) end that USCIS going to accept the applications that are going reach them only on July 2nd and I did exactly the same thing. NSC received my application by July 2 at 7:30am.
I properly signed my set of applications (485,765,131,134,325a,g28) and my wife did the same with her set.
I didn't give attorney info on any of the applications except on G-28 FORM.
BUT there is no attorney signature on G-28 FORM since I filed on my own and Is going to create any problem, I mean is there any possibility that USCIS GOING to reject My application? Your help greatly appreciated.

Last year in March end I had an opportunity to go for business trip to Frankfurt, it was technical conference of my company. Just 5 days before the due date, my H1 was to expire. Thanks to this moron in my HR, the whole H1 renenwal was delayed to just 2 weeks before expiry. We paid extra to expedite the H1 renewal, fixed Visa stamping/interview apointment at Ottawa, ON same week as we applied for visa renewal. In-fact I had apointments paid for two consecutive days(friday and monday), just in-case the documents do not arrive on time. And they didn't ( aka Murphy Law) till saturday. So headed out on Sunday to Ottawa from MI. arrived Monday morning, got the visa extended next day. Arrived back in office on Wednesday morning, sent all the documents to Chicago consulate office, with same day delivery. Anxiously awaited to hear-back till Tursday afternoon. Started frantically calling consulate office on Friday Morning. Believe it or not someone did returnback my repeated calls and complained about why I was calling everyone in office and in future try to send application atleast 1-2 weeks before travel. My flight was booked for Saturday 3:00 pm in afternoon and believe it or not I collected my passport with visa at noon!!!:rolleyes:
P.S: Trip was great and in-fact also got chance to visit Paris!!!:cool:
