E. EMPLOYMENT PREFERENCE VISA AVAILABILITY
The receipt of demand from Citizenship and Immigration Services Offices has far exceeded their earlier indications of cases eligible for immediate processing. As a result, it has been necessary to hold most of the Employment cut-off dates for November. At this time, it is not possible to provide any estimates regarding future cut-off date movements.
:) Even if USCIS says that they cant predict future cut-off dates, its not going to slow down the prediction-pundits on IV. Soon we'll have a thread out for December Visa Bulletin prediction!!

Legal is referring to me as the stuck moderator who may not like your making fun of a Representative on this forum.
I deleted a post of his that made fun of Rep. Sensenbrenner's name.
He doesn't realize that we, the IV core team, now have to go hat in hand to the same Rep. Sensenbrenner to have the SKIL bill passed through the House Judiciary committee.
Legal wants the rest of us to pay for his freedom of expression - and no value add - on this public forum.
Enough said from me on this issue.

- Got wife's maiden name changed when I lost her passport... couple of years back. Recollect it took ~a week.
- Present Indian immigration statuc: ECNR, etc. - check your password. It should be ECNR if you've travelled this far... :)
- 16).Alien registration card number/Employment registration card number_____ (i dont have any of these numbers)
Don't recollect needing any of the above numbers.
- In our case, it was new passport in lieu of lost passport.
If you get in early (i.e. before they close for lunch, but preferably as soon as they open) they'll help you out with all that - generally nice & friendly folks in CGI.

Hi,
Active trader / Passive Trader hmm !!! interesting.
1) if you have money and time u can do as many trades as u like ( no restrictions ) even u can execute a trade every minute ( provided ur employer won't mind )
2) Taxes has to be reported only on closing of position ( either in capital gain / loss ) as said by others
FYI: for tax terms refer captial gains tax details ( as of now more than 1 year holding 15%, less than a year is > 15% etc., )

Not having experience with that particular lens, however I would ask if you are sure you can live with a variable aperture lens that goes all the way to 5.6 on the long end...and are you sure you can live within those limitations?
Do any equipment savy forum members have any views on the Nikon Nikkor 28-200mm f/3.5 - 5.6D IF AF Zoom lens positive, negitive or otherwise? Target camera will be my D70. Thanks in advance.

You are right... you should not submit documents with your LC first submission. In my case, they asked for some documents after my submisission(what it's called Audit); one of them was the Ad which they were not satisfied with it, so they Denied my case. However we appealed sending the whole Ad page making them change the case back to 'In Process'.
If you are still around, I just wanted to let you know that my PERM labor got approved on May 1st. It was filed on Oct 31st. No audit. Looking at your signature, looks like they also approved your LC. Congratulations!

Hmm.. maybe i did not make it clear.
What I meant was, if you make 4 copies of your photo and use two of them in one application, then USCIS is not allowing you to use remaining two afterwards claiming that picture should be recent and 'unused'. They are asking of 'different' picture altogether.

I have been advocating IV to many of my friends, Most of them are shown interest on the Information only, but when it comes to the contribution they show least interest on it and expect some one else to take part in it. It�s very hard to convince them, but I am not tired and I will keep on pursuing them.

Remember I-140 is Employer's not yours, only safety net for PD is I-485 +180 days (AC21 rule).
I 'm no expert. But what Veni001 is telling is incorrect. Even though you didn't apply for 485 you still can use that 140 and use that date.
There might be a little problem if the 140 is revoked. But you can certainly try.

Getting help thro' your congressman/woman (House rep. or senator) is the best way forward for you.
Each USCIS service center has a dedicated cell handling congressional inquiries on cases. Since your case is well beyond processing times and clearly out of bounds, they do escalate matters thro' the congressional cell at NSC/TSC.
Doing this should be your first order of business.

Hey Bro, as far as I know they only test for HIV, Siphilis,TB and Gonorrhea. I am loking at the copy of my medicals right now and I don't see Herpes mentioned anywhere. So I dont think the blood test looks for that. So don't jump the gun and tell the surgeon that you have it. My surgeon didn't even do a genital exam only checked my groin for lymph nodes. SO as far I can see you will be OK. Just take it easy and go for the test. ;)

did anybody successfully accomplished revoking existing G-28 by company's attorney and self represented the pending I-485?? if so can you please post the details on letter format, whom to address the letter etc...

If you applied for EAD and plan on using it with another employer make sure your 140 is approved and you have waited for 6 months after the I485 Receipt date before moving to a similar job.
you might get a couple of LUD's on the 485 in the mean time. ( I got one as recent as last week - not sure what it means)
budget money for EAD and AP renewals. Damn those are expensive now with the increased rates
and If nothing happens in 15 months, get ready for one more FP appointment.
