I've always been a fan of the device that lets you remote access your computer (like a Star Trek PADD). Doubt we'll see one anytime soon though.

I just received my Proporta aluminum-lined leather case. I got it from Amazon for $29.95 with free shipping. It is exactly what I was looking for in a case that will protect the screen when I have my Ipod Touch in my pocket. It is a quality built case at a very good price for a leather case.

zune people don't seem to agree what it is bad. they just deny the true. here what they are ridiculous.

I have to admitt that was great to read, there are so many PC bashing thugs out there who know nothing about anything outside the realm of Microsoft bliss.
I like to think of myself as a fairly balanced PC and Apple person but the comments in that Zune site were just plain idiotic from the "Windows" people, their arguments wouldn't hold water.
The BIG Zune over iPod sales pitch I am hearing more and more is the "but Zune has a radio and wireless and it works with Windows".
Newsflash morons the iPod works with BOTH Windows and Mac OSX, a radio who really cares the reason I bought an iPod was so that I didn't have to listen to the stupid radio, and wireless I guess that would be nice..... wait you still need to plug the dam thing in the charge it.
Personally I am glad people aren't buying the Zune becuase it means that there aren't nearly as many brain dead people out there as I originally thought.
The reality of the effort with the Zune is that it is too little too late and a poor interpretation of an iPod...... Zune it's fugly

Since the iPad does nothing useful this appeal to the wimpy "feelings" crowd is no surprise. Replace the iPad with a pair of pants and this could easily double as a Levi's commercial.
You can't be that thick. No way. You're just being a contrarian for the sake of it. Have to be.
The entire industry, a number of companies that had to shift their long-term strategy, and millions of consumers would disagree.
You can have your opinion, but if it's completely out of touch with the market and the direction in which consumer tech is heading, it's useless.
You're not alone, though. There's this really big, dumb company way past its sell-by date in Redmond that doesn't get it either. They tried, though. They really did.

No - they are actually losing market share.
"-- 50% of buyers are new to Mac."
The way to compare is not from one quarter to the next, but 3rd quarter with 3rd quarter (Very seasonal buying by education scews all comp companies number this way.) -- SO THEY HAVE HAD A HUGE JUMP
But we will have to wait to see exactly how much.

I like this. I really wish it didn't have the logo, though. Much classier as just a photograph, IMHO.

That's no late 2008 MacBook Pro. It can't be, because the late 2008 MacBook Pro was the first to get a unibody design. That might be the early 2008 MacBook Pro with the old classic design. Sorry to say that ;)
Nice setup though! :)

A major consumer announcement at a developers conference? Not gonna happen. End of story!
I agree with this comment. There is no way a developer conference would be used as an announcement for ipods

I am just hoping for a MacBook Pro with Merom.
Hopefully it will make the laptop lighter too.
Any idea if the new laptops will have LightScribe?

This ad will never work. People want ads that make them feel like teenage boys. I know this from Android ads. Steel and lasers, Apple. Steel and lasers!
Great post. Maybe we should ban all iPad sales to "over 18" that would firmly place Apple in the "elitist" camp

With the exception of about two years, I have been driving manuals for about 20 years. I don't know how much longer I will be driving one, as the selection is getting limited. Also, most of the models I have been considering are auto-only, or only have a manual available on the absolute cheapest models (2012 Ford Focus, for example). Also, I have a nagging back injury that that flairs up every now and then. Driving in very heavy traffic in my current car can cause some pain. A couple of years ago, I got caught in a nasty jam in Dallas and I could barely walk the next day. It sucks.
Edit: Forgot to mention this Cool Story, Bro: To show how much I like manuals, when looking to buy a Mazda6, I hunted for months to find the ever-elusive V6/Manual tranny combo. I was looking at used models, so I was at the mercy of the market. I always seemed to miss them when I would find one. I really wanted the car, so I had finally resigned myself to getting the auto, when I stumbled across one by accident. I was at the dealer to look at at an auto model, when I happened to walk by a hatch with the manual. The thing had literally been rolled out to display that morning. After a cursory test drive, I bought it.

congrats to SciFrog for 4 million points!
i also recently got 4 million points. but i think my ppd is going down. the last 2 days have been bad for me, and it's looking like it might stay that way
it took me roughly 18-19 days to go from 3 mil to 4 mil. my best yet. but 4 to 5 probably won't be any faster, but we'll see

Just curious, Why?
1. Bluetooth car audio systems
2. Bluetooth headphones
3. Bluetooth speakers.
The iPod is primarly an audio device, Bluetooth is a common audio transmission method. What more is there to say?
