You don't need Rosetta, iOS is Intel 64 native. You get a copy with Xcode called the Simulator.
Just because iOS can be/has been built for x86 doesn't mean you wouldn't need a Rosetta-like instruction translation layer to run AppStore iOS apps. Those apps are all compiled for Arm6/7. Apple could support some sort of Universal binary in the future, but apps in the AppStore would have to be rebuilt by their creators.

Looks like a bar of soap. Which I guess is OK. It IS different, 'fresh', and will make a fashion statement for those who care about such things.
I guess that not many people on here remember the white iPods and white iBooks back in the day. Man, I miss that white finish. I might just buy the white iPhone at full price.

Neither. Get a real chair: http://www.hermanmiller.com/Products/Aeron-Chairs
Really though, if you are looking for looks, get the Eames knock-off. If you want comfort and longevity, invest in a good chair.
I do not have $879 to spend on a chair and if I did I would not. It's a chair! :D

No, I read that the show actually generates around $160m per year for ABC through advertisers.
You may not like him, but I suppose he is underpaid for the money he can generate...
Oh, and Youtube clip of the Tiger blood/Sinatra/"Dying is for Amateurs"/"I'm bi-winning" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BZA5bOZ6To) interview. :p

Ah- we have plenty of people here in the US, just like you, who insist "fact" and "speculation" are the same things. They are not.
I'm "insisting" that we are dealing with the obvious, So clear cut that I'd consider it reality.

Would Apple stores have any models with i7? Or is that only possible through BTO?

wireless (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Wi-Max whatever)? I used to think that this was a cool thing to have in an iPod. an iPod with internet radio capability sounds like a really cool idea. I'm lukewarm about now.
We already have wired music share libraries on our computers (college campus). I just don't have the motivation to explore other's music library. I turn my sharing off, quite frankly I'm embarrass to let the world know what I'm listening to most of the time:D .
The next step? An iPod phone. It should do two simple simple simple simple things (1) act like a basic phone you contacts, missed calls, dial calls etc and (2) behaves like a 4GB Nano. yeah I know, Motorolo Rokr didn't meet the challenge.

But at least the sidebar is improved in a useful way. I hate how the text on the current sidebar hangs to the side of the images, taking up valuable width.
So instead, the new sidebar pushes into the image, reducing it in size, and requiring you to expand the width ( ) of the window if you want to keep the image the same size. I don't really see the overall difference. I suppose it comes down to whether you prefer the images to get slightly smaller, or the tray to suddenly cover over other things.

Well, first of all, when I say iPod, I am including all things music/movies, iTV, etc. To put it very simply, I wish Apple would use more of the innovative spirit that is going into their "entertainment" branch and put it back into their computers.
The computers that are just finishing a CPU conversion, but are still rated as being good buys by non-Mac publications?
Perspective, my young padawan, perspective....

the deadline is gone and nies is toast.
hopefully it is a hairy toast, otherwise we have just one more shot, with only 25% of success, before the village is doomed (barring some hunter magic).

1) I own both.
They are rectangular and have icons on home screens.
There's only so much one can do with smart phone styling.
It's not like Apples on the verge of going out of business.
Much ado over nothing.
Like a teenage bully, Apples beyond stupid.
2) You actually believe clueless sales people?
Okay THAT is just total BS. There are other phones that do not look like iPhone clones out there.
Look at what Microsoft are doing? They are actually giving their mobile platform its own interface and it's own look. You know what? It's pretty damn good too. You don't HAVE to do things the Apple does. No, Samsung copies Apple because they're lazy and they know that they can generate sales on confusing buyers or convincing buyers that this is the same thing as an iPhone. It's so obvious.
It's fine that they want to make touchscreen phones, just create your own look and feel. Granted some of Samsung's phone are worse than others.
Blatant copying.
AND, if Apple have infringed on anyone else's patents, they should be held accountable too. That's the way that it works. Live by the sword. Die by the sword.

Although I find the slider buttons pretty, I think these are just a step to touch-interface. It makes sense when you have to actually slide the button (with your fingers). But when using a mouse/trackpad, it is more logical to point at the option you want and the selection will slide to the requested option.
I think this will return when touch-based interface will make its entry.
Apple could make them an option in System Preferences :p

Apples moving forward, kind of neat after all the years of stagnation. 2 Big updates in 1 year vs a minor hiccup after 1 year. This is good stuff.
