I agree with the notion that people should try to take steps to avoid risk, and that people can greatly reduce personal risk by making safer choices.

But this nugget of wisdom does not really touch on the substance of the issue arising in the OP, to wit - how much responsiblity does a rape victim carry? Or, to turn the question around, how much of the rape is not the rapist's fault?

What kind of twisted logic hears of a rape decides that looking "like a prostitute" is the salient feature of the case? What about the crazed deviant who committed the crime in the first place? Indeed, I think Gelfin's analogy is apt - if a smartly-dressed man is mugged, should we simply shrug our shoulders and say "well, he looked like he had a lot of money so he was asking for it. He should have been wearing something less ostentatious."

It's also, by the way, fallacious to assume that only young, attractive and/or scantily-clad women are raped. Such suppositions are the product of the same twisted male chauvinist perspective that suggests that looking "like a prostitute" means that women are "asking for it".

New Iphone user, Please Help, Iphone 3GS can not restore any ipsw, Error 3194.

After WiFi stop recognized network, I choose to reset Iphone network?
After Iphone reset, I tried run with blackra1n version RC3,
From that time I can not restore any IPSW files. It gave an Error 3194 or see below log messages.

It's probably possible, but you'd need to write the game yourself. Also, the mouse wouldn't be able to control the computer, so the game should be able to respecify mouse button actions and controls. It also needs to be optimized for the magic mouse. I'm not sure if the mouse differentiates from the top and bottom of the mouse for expose, but if it does, it will work flawlessly. Its just a matter of finding or writing a game that uses the magic mouse controls differently to control the game.

Not giving something you own to someone else is not an act of war. Besides, the USA didn't placed the oil embargo out of nothing. Japan started a war first, hence the oil embargo.


I bet the Japanese felt different, they were at war we directly threatened their national security through our political policy.

Again it's probably the same thing we would have done, the only difference is that were so powerful people don't feel comfortable snubbing our demands.

These threads always seem to pop every once in awhile but I'm a fan of them so I'll play along :)

AirStumbler (http://www.nexus9.org/): wireless network discover tool. I prefer it to MacStumbler.
Backlight (http://freshlysqueezedsoftware.com/products/freeware/): allows screensavers to be used as desktops, works great with MarineAquarium ;)
WClock (http://www.wolfware.com/wClock.html): menu bar clock with pop down calendar, now that Calendarclock/MenuCalendarClock has become shareware.
iCal Birthday Shifter (http://www.scotlandsoftware.com/products/icalshifter/index.html): takes birthdays from Address Book and makes them into events in iCal.

It is just more signs of the times. OSX is at the end of its life cycle with Lion coming out as the transitional OS before iOS rules them all. Lion does away with a separate server edition and is preparing the way for iOS. The only key piece that needs to catch up to make iOS feasible on desktop hardware is the A series processors (i.e. A6 or A7 with multi-cores to catch-up with Intel's desktop procs).

So Lion will be released this summer and the next generation OS will come out in 2013-ish sans the cat naming convention and sans a distinction between iDevice and Mac. iOS naming conventions should follow mythical winged predators (i.e. Phoenix, Gryphon and Dragon).

You also get a lot of people on here looking at the US Apple Store and seeing the iPhone 4 at $200 then checking their own store and seeing it priced around 500 Pounds or Euros.

They don't understand that the US price doesn't include sales tax and requires signing up for an expensive 2 year contract but their own price includes tax and is for a factory unlocked, contract-free phone.

my iP4 here in my country costed me a whole $0.33 to get on a 2 year contract.
off contract they are around 25% more than US.
