There is nothing unethical or illegal going on in here. Please use these talking points to clear any fears or apprehensions that newcomers have about participating in something so basic and 100% legal and moral.
Remember, we have a moral high ground when compared to illegals. And even illegals are not afraid as much as some of us are initially when thinking about volunteering or contributing. WE ARE LEGALS.
And also remember one thing...silent observation from your cubicle is not going to help. DO NOT THINK for one second that silence is going to be rewarded. With silence, nothing will happen. ANS: You dont need to worry about paystubs since you are autorized to work only after 1st october. You would need a stamping to reenter US.
3) I have been searching monster, indeed etc to find a sponsorer for my visa, i attended 2 interviews till now and cleared them too but when it comes to work permit they are not willing to do h1 for me. I have lost all hopes and posting here to find out if there are any companies who are willing to do h1b.
I am not in software field, i am in to bio technology and i am looking for the post of clinical research coordinator or clinical research associate CRA , CRC.
If any of you know any company which does h1b for CRA, CRC it would really be helpful if you could post me the link of the company here.

Dear Viewers
Could anyone please advice me on how to claim the unpaid salary from the previous employers.
I was working for a company based in Michigan run by an Indian. This person did not pay me my last month salary. He does not pick up his phone or respond to my email. I have all the proof that my client has paid him the money for which I worked but he continue to ignore my request. This guy owes me around 5000 dollars.
Any piece of advice would be of great help.

As far as I remember , there was an FAQ somewhere in USCIS website that mentioned that they will not ask for 2nd FP again. I may be wrong but I think I had seen it somewhere and this also discussed in some thread on this site.

My Job Title Matches my Labor Certification Title It was Software Enggineer Now it is Senior Software Engineering, But As I am in IT my old labor certification says about some old Oracle Technology but new job is J2EE and Also my Labor Certification talks about Financial Business Area but New Job is HealthCare Sector.Common thing are Both Says Design and Development of Software application.. Is it OK ?
Regarding having a match, take a lawyer's help to find out what occupation code (based on DOT - dictionary of occupationsl titles) or ONET code your previous job (in labor cert) was.
Try to take up a new job whose description would land you in the same or similar DOT code or ONET code and ask your lawyer to translate descriptions into ONET and DOT codes.
AC21 portability has never been used in such a widespread manner for such a prolonged period so a lot of new changes are likely to happen thru new interpretations done by USCIS. This time, AC21 will be used by folks for atleast 2-3 years before they get GC, just due to retrogression.

Now that you have all your documentation, the biggest hurdle would appear to be that you didn't mention the DUI earlier. I would possibly go ahead and contact an immigration lawyer but i'm sure this is an issue which can be resolved without affecting your application.

DOS tried to update the system reflecting a big jump in the visa dates for May. The system was unused to any changes lately - leave aside such large forward movements - and as a result it crashed.
DOS managed to recover the system by replacing all date fields with character fields. The rumor is that the value for all those character fields is now "C", whatever that means.
Why is it still unaccessible? Are you guys experiencing the same?

Actually the reply I got was from the attorney(who is HR head I believe) of the non-profit organization itself. What I was told that some companies do accept volunteers but due to ignorance of law on their part.
Volunteering itself means one is not paid for. But H4s cannot volunteer in their own field of expertise. This is what I understood.
Anyway I am planning to file my H1 this year.

My fiancee and I got married in India in May 2010 and have a marriage certificate. I came back in June 2010 to US and she stayed back in India. On August 8th 2010 my I-485 got approved. However we have not yet registered our marriage in US (however it is registered in India). Will this be a problem? Did we need to register our marriage in US prior to August 02 2010 for us to be able to file for her green card using derived status? Or is marriage registered in India fine.
I really really appreciate a response.

You can use follow to join to allow your wife to get an EAD after she finishes her waiver (If you have a GC by then and your PD is current). I am not sure if she can immediately file after her waiver. Any gurus please reply. Signing another contract in a waiver location is painful (after initial contract pf 3 yrs is over). Also if anybody can reply on how much time we can stay legally after the initial 3 years.
As far as issues, its a lenghty and a painful journey to a waiver job and clearance. Needs a lot of work. But once you r thru with getting a H-1b to start the job should be no issues.
Let me know if you need anything. Mine is EB3 PD-04/2002 India and still waiting.

Hi! I am on a H1 - B visa and had a question. If I marry someone from my home country India and she is working out there as a physiotherapist, can she come here and start practicing immediately or she needs to give some exams and do I need to file her H1 - B in the quota opening in April or is she outside the quota?
Does she have a 4 year PT degree? Most probably yes, as most schools in India have retired the 3 year PT program but just check out. If by any chance she has the 3 year degree, her degree is most likely not recognized.
She cannot get a H1 filed on Mar 31st and start working.
She has to do

(1) Join a school here, get her masters in PT, and on the side prep/pass the licensing exam NPTE. Passing NPTE is critical and one needs to score between 75 and 80 percent to clear the exam. Then do type II certificate (http://www.fccpt.org/forapplicants.html#typeII) for her visa screen and then get hired as PT. Hope that the PT and nurse caps open up and file for GC. See that TOEFL can be a requirement, but if she got admitted into a PT school she already has TOEFL.
Short term plan
