I don't think you need to worry about the number on w2. Wages on W2 do NOT necessarily represent your actual wage. Lots of pre-tax deductions can be deducted from the W2 number, which means your W2 wage can be significantly much less than your actual wage. Your pay-stub will be a better evidence for your wage.

I got an RFE for my I140 filed in September 2006. They asked me to show my W2 for 2006 and also show that the employer had the ability to pay the offered wage in case my W2 is less than the offered wage.
My W2 has 8k less than the offered wage. My company has not yet filed 2006 Taxes. Can you tell me whats the best thing to do? My employer has good revenue, but I guess he has been showing a net loss every year.
Please help me out. Tell me if any of you have gone through similar issues.

My employer is not giving me copy of Labour certificate. I know all numbers. Do I need a copy of AC21
I'm not an expert but thru these forums got the understanding that you dont need a copy of labor cert (if you have its even better). Most employers dont share that anyway - except maybe the desi consulting companies (we may not like them but sometimes for GC purposes I feel that they are ideal companies - atleast they understand what we are talking about).
Regarding I140 - I am not sure but saw conficting opinions - some thought its OK even without a copy of this one too but some suggested its better to get one. In any case having the case numbers would help I guess.
Is I485 receipt may be needed.

Yes some have not received CPO...they say they will get a deportation notice soon as a result of not receiving CPO but directly receiving "Approval Notice Sent".

Is there a way to find out if the employer has revoked I-140? I have changed employers in Feb and my I1-40 was approved back in June. There was an update on my I-140 recently in Mar. I was wondering what could that be for?

it is really nice that you got it now...otherwise u will be put on a minimum 6 months more wait till Oct...u shud highlight ur case to showcase how broken the legal immigration system is..u have been in US for 18 years before u received ur green card...

Sorry, but the agenda is already set for legislative and administrative goals of IV. Greencards for spouses of greencard holders is a painful problem and we understand that but this site and this org is specifically created and funded for relief to employment based immigration.

I think some doesn't really have any info due to access level (maybe) but I am certain that I read somewhere here where member(s) of this forum were able to get that information. They just said you have to keep on trying, at least that's what they did.

I was in a similar situation and included 2 prepaid overnight envelopes (which btw, they have mentioned in their instructions). They probably tossed them in the bin and chose to send them by untrackable usps mail which took over a week to arrive. Very very aggravating! :mad:

Hi Folks, I have few questions regarding opening NRE account...
1. Seems most of the banks offer NRE account for NRIs. In general, which bank is better for opening such an account?:confused:
2. Do all the banks which offer NRE accounts offer account services irrespective of which branch I open the account at? e.g., if I open an NRE account say in delhi, can I have access to and get service for the account say in bangalore? Or do I have to go to that particular branch where I opened the account? In this regard, which bank is better?
3. Which bank generally gives better exchange rates?

So is it important to be currently making more than what is mentioned in the GC labor application ? As I have been informed, the prevailing wage as mentioned in the GC is for future employment and it is OK for the employee to be making less than that and it only means that the employer should have the ability to pay you that wage after you get your GC ? Is this true ?

Ability to pay issue can be replied with company financials and assets etc.
Paystubs and W2s are pretty basic queries, they ask them in lot of places..
even h1 transfer can not happen without recent paystubs..
I am confused.. they don't have money? in that case how will they even answer RFE?

I went with regular.I learned that I could upgrade anytime after I receive the receipt. So, if there's any changes as others have warned in the forum, I'll upgrade at that point.
Not sure if my response makes sense to most, but, I wanted to get this done during Nava Ratri. My attorney wouldn't process it Premium way until they receive the physical check in hand. Which means I'll have to push this into next week, I was not ready for that either.
Long explanation, but all who responded and viewed the thread deserve one.
Thanks for responding. BTW, the fee they quoted me was $1250.00 ( 1000 + 250 processing fee)

I dont have any changes to status when I check my 485 case status online but today in the mail i received I797c notice welcoming me as a premenant residence. I am a bit hesitant to celebrate, but am I seeing green?:o

It turned out, she actually had two 485 receipt notices..each with a different notice no. I was all the time checking her 485 status using the older receipt number, until, when we got the welcome notice. I called my attorney to seek an explanation and he told me to make sure, I was checking the latest receipt no. Once I checked the correct receipt no., the status had properly updated on the correct receipt no.

3 weeks seem to be still in the ballpark. Took about that long to get my FP notice too. Did you e-file? Paper-filers do not get FP notice.
