Gimp: A very poor man's photoshop.
Anyway, thats all. Let me know what you think of my list.
I'd have to disagree Gimp is a powerful app I love it and compared to PS it's a steal. It's free and if your a hobbyist like me that alone is unbeatable, I could never justify spending $649 for just touching up the odd photo, Gimp is invaluable if you like to make your own calendars, invites, birthday cards, spoof pictures etc, I used to use Corel Draw/Photo-Paint8 until I upgraded to OSX and can say Gimp is far superior to them, I'm not having ago at you I just think the term "very" would put off a lot of non/semi pro's from trying it.
System optimizer is shareware-$12

Oh, well boo-hoo that it costs $100m to make a peice of crap movie. Some of the best films of the last ten years have been smaller, independent productions with budgets less than $20m. So, how about you all stop wasting your money and focus on story and character rather than big marketing campaigns to convince people that there's anything at all redeeming about the over-hyped ************ you release.
And on that tip, think about this big studios: If you're getting $8-$12 in sheer profit for a movie download, there's a good chance this money is coming from someone who may not have paid at all, as people who currently steal movies from the internet, already download them. There's an incentive there to get something high quality and that is cheaper than buying the retail boxed product.
Also, I don't have the numbers in front of me, but you big studios are actually cutting out one of the middle-men in partnering with apple, as Apple becomes both distributor and retailer. Right? So, less mark-ups for other people - no packaging, shipping costs, no big displays for online downloads. That's going to save you money too.
So, basically, stop whining.

nope -- its GIVING users choice. why? remember, w/ iOS subscriptions, YOU get to decide who you opt-in to. you, the CUSTOMER.
And what is the innovation in this? You always had the option to decide (remember those checkboxes). I really don't see how Apple's solution is really different from the current situation.

It may not quite be as fast in a 1,1 but it's still plenty quick. I can run Starcraft 2 @ 1920x1080 pretty much maxed out without difficulty. If you intend to keep the machine I don't think you can justify not upgrading it at this point ;-)

I've just started checking out the Lynda.com training videos for Xcode 4 / ObjC
They are very well done, and start pretty entry level. I haven't seen anything specific to the iPhone, but looks like a good setup for someone getting into Xcode4 and ObjC.
I'll check later to see if they have something specific to iPhone dev.

I know right? Christians are totally equivalent in women's clothing to Muslims. I mean, asking for the skirts to be to their knees, for them to not see midriff, or parts of the breast is totally equivalent to making the wear burkhas. You mean Clinton who was actively engaged in multiple attempts to kill Binladen pre-911? An activity that Bush canceled after he was elected?
Your right we should follow the example of the president who allowed 911 to happen. Then failed to accomplish the task of killing him while also driving us into debt revoking our civil liberties and allowing American's to begin torturing those they SUSPECTED had useful information.

I disagree. Live under their roof, live by their rules or at least go through the hassle of trying to get away with breaking them.
If you're old enough to deal with the possible consequences of sex, you're old enough to find a place on your own. If you're not old enough to do that, be sure one of you is sterile before proceeding. I say this a week after my 17 year old cousin gave birth after both being on the pill and using a condom. It happens. If you can deal with that possibility, you're old enough to move out.
Sure, it's easy to be almost certain that nothing will happen. Tell that to my cousin.

Have not yet read if the gf is 18 or older yet. And that is an issue. For with him being 18, there maybe statutory rape issues - not from her, but her parents.
Hope that all will go well with your cousin in the years to come.

I don't think so. I couldn't find a way to do this, even from a constructed URL that you could bookmark.
However, you can search for your own posts from a mobile device by using the regular website and the iPhone Friendly forum skin, chosen from the drop-down at the bottom of the page.

My wife has bought a MacBook Pro and I have put Outlook 2011 on it. Can I sync my iPad's contacts and calendar without syncing with iCal and Address Book as these will have my wife's contacts and calendar which we don't want to mix. iTunes only allows syncing with Address Book and iCal.
