In an article about Pegatron's net losses for the first quarter of DigiTimes reveals (http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20110427PD217.html) that the iPhone 4 manufacturer is said to be lowering their production of CDMA (Verizon-compatible) iPhone 4s in 2011 from the originally expected 10 million units down to only 5 million units. Meanwhile, Pegatron originally expected to ship 10 million CDMA iPhone 4s in but sources from upstream component makers pointed out that Apple's orders already saw a significant reduction and the volume is estimated to drop to only five million units.CDMA refers to the radio technology used by Verizon for their mobile phones. The CDMA iPhone (aka Verizon iPhone) was launched in February of this year and saw 2.2 million activations (http://www.macrumors.com/2011/04/21/verizon-activates-2-2-million-iphones-in-q1-2011) in the partial first quarter of its launch. IMO yes, esp. copper ones. I've bought some of these (http://shop.conrad-uk.com/1/2-a2-uk0871057__akasa-memory-cooler-copper-ak-171-.html). On clearance it was for about �2 per 1 stick set.

Reason it isn't a disgrace: The white enclosure apparently was causing trouble with the camera due to light leakage. You would most likely be calling that disgraceful if they had indeed released a 500$ phone with that rather huge flaw, so I guess they can't win.
I know the reason, or the supposed reason (who knows, Apple has been as tight lipped as ever on the issue) . If true, its a disgrace it made it to the keynote presentation, without the issue being identified or a reasonable fix found. I don't care how you square it - being 10 months late for a device who has an average life of 12 months is utter incompetence and hence disgraceful.
Hats off for Apple sticking to it, but that does not take away from the fact that they should never have made the promise w/o a better understanding of production issues. The iPhone 4 design has been around since at least January per spy shots of the iPad before release. In the meantime how does one go about getting the PPC up and running again? or even diagnosing the problem?
Is it a fried HD?
As I bought the PPC with OSX already installed but no discs I guess I'll need to get a copy of Tiger and a HD to load it onto. Which version of the OSX do I need? On eBay there are retail discs and install discs.
Oh and can I install it onto a Sata drive connected to one of the cards?

Good point... I hadn't considered the battery time. By this time next year, the memory chips will definitely be a lot cheaper so 2G (or more) will be easily do-able in something as small as the Shuffle for a decent price. Hopefully the battery life can be improved as well. Not much use being able to store 36 hours of music and not being able to listen to it.
Oh, great, now we've got someone referring to '2G' as 2 gigabytes. The confusion is just going to grow!!!

Overpriced. These games are ancient and most of them don't offer much gameplay at all. Plus it cost atari essentially nothing to put this app out. If they made it $0.99 for the hundred pack then it'd be no-brainer, we'd buy it just for the nostalgia alone. I could conceivably see paying up to $4.99 for the hundred pack for the very small handful of games that are actually worth playing. But $14.99 for these junky games? No way.
p.s., I'm not saying all old games are bad, quite the contrary, there are a lot of fantastic old games that still hold up well, but the atari era of games were especially crappy.

But, the Nintendo DS version require Vol. 1 & 2 for all 100, which comes to $40.
The difference is physical media, no DRM, and using a portable with REAL BUTTONS (;)) - but that's a whole other discussion... :eek:
Hopefully, it'll be on sale for $9.99 (about 10 cents/game)

Why should people who just want to read the news be compelled to provide the FT with personal information in order to do so? Why does the FT need to know my name, address, phone number, etc.?
Why does Apple need my phone number? I just want to buy and use their products? (For an Apple ID, ie, if you want to use any apps, even free ones, Apple requires you to give them your personal data, in Apple's stores, they even ask for your ZIP code when your purchase anything, well at least in those stores I have been.)

no, iOS sends only to one thing at a time, but you can do it from iTunes.
You can then use the remote app on the iTouch to control iTunes. (and control the zone volume levels.

I have to admit I always thought the Fahrvergn�gen thing was a bit silly, but it did position the VWs as "different", something the new Jetta and Passat are emphatically not. They are intentionally more the same.
Never understood that ad campaign - till my ex and I bought our VW's. Me the New Beetle and him the Cabrio just months apart. That was a very happy salesman that day! LOL
In the end it was just how fun the Cabrio was fun to drive that made me jump to the New Beetle. Reliability was the reason I dumped my New Beetle... made in Mexico. While the ex's Cabrio was made in Germany with no major problems. Go figure....

As I glance thru these comments ... it sure would be refreshing if the negative posters would just go away. They offer nothing and it is truly a waste of time to even glance at them.
