Your insurance company will give you that letter....no specific amount but stating that international coverage is there. I have used that letter for Schengen visa in German consulate 4 times and it has worked well.
Has anybody recently applied for a Schengen Visa, if yes, can you please let me know what you did for the travel insurance. The insurance from my employer (Humana) says they cover international but do not have a letter that states the same and Swedish consulate website says the letter should specifically say "International Coverage".
What are my options. Can you guys suggest where I can buy the insurance from.

I am on H1B, just filed my GC. I am planning to do a masters degree (i am a B.E now). Any suggestions? I was looking at walden university for online programs. are they any good? Is it worth the money spent??

Education is always a good investment. You may do it for GC or for any other purpose. But my advise would be to pick a good reputed school that you can handle and do something that would help your career.

I see no harm in contacting him; but your excitement about Chandrasekharan seems curious to me. When people who have themselves immigrated from India (who now have GC/citizenship) are so indifferent about us, how can you expect a second generation indian journalist to "understand" our problems ? He does not seem to have done any articles on immigration; so there is no objective way for us to say whether he is really sympathetic to us or not.
Remember that even anti-immigration organizations like numbersUSA have lots of members who are immigrants themselves or have immigrant parents.

U.S. Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada, the Democratic floor leader, said last week he was getting ready to lead the Senate back into the politically risky waters of immigration.
At the end of his remarks before an Asian-American and Pacific Islander Summit in D.C., Reid said, �Finally, we will again pursue comprehensive immigration reform that respects both our nation�s laws and the people from all nations who want to live in America, work hard and pay their fair share of taxes. And it is critical that we bring families together by cutting down on the long waits for prospective immigrants trying to join their immediate family members in the United States. I am committed to reforming our system in a way that is tough, fair and practical.�
He was immediately faced with skepticism and outright hostility. Though the senator was vague on details, one website promptly posted the headline, �Why Does Reid Want to Ram Immigration Amnesty Through Senate?�

Saxby Chambliss of Georgia questioned whether Congress has time to deal with immigration this year when it already has health care reform and 13 appropriations bills on its plate: �I don�t see how, from a time perspective, where they can have a floor debate on immigration. As of my knowledge and talking with others, it seems like they will issue receipt to you for each of those application. Regarding I-485 processing, yes they will wait untill your labor substitution is done then they will process I-140 and once I-140 is approved they will process I-485. If I-140 is not approved then they wouldnt be able to process I-485 even if it's current.
I had applied for Labor Substitution/140/485/EAD concurrently on July 2nd. If I understand the process correctly, I would receive 3 different receipt notices and 3 different approvals for LC/140/485?
I have applied in NSC. What is the approximate processing times for approving:
1. Labor Substitution
2. I 140
3. I 485.
Also, will they start processing 485 only after LC and 140 are approved?

I don't think you will get in trouble with IRS. Because your W2 will have less salary stated. However for H1-B purpose, you salary will drop from what was probably stated on your H1-B application. No one is going to notice this. But just don't do this, when your H1-B stamping or renewal is near, so that you will have full salary mentioned in your recent paystubs.

To be able to file EB2 the position has to belong to O*net zone 5. For instance if you are an engineer, open the link http://online.onetcenter.org/find/result?s=engineer&g=Go and click over the engineering that mostly suits you. If that position is job zone 4 then it is EB3 if it is job zone 5 then it is EB2. Then you have to check the salary for the area where you work, if your basic salary is superior to the minimum (level 1) of the position then you are fine.
Though I don't know anything about the zone 5 requirement, judging by the vast majority of H1b jobs there are, very few are qualified zone 5. Thus there would have been very few EB2 filing (PERM or the other)
This is not evidenced by what I have seen on many forums, or people that I know that filed for EB2 and then had it approved.

I-140 approved in 2006.
Applied labor in 2007 under EB2 category( same Company)
Applied I-140 Eb2 and requested to port EB3 Priority date.
I-140 got approved but did not port EB3 priority date.
Applied I-485 in 2007 using eb3 labor and I-140.
As of now I have two approved I-140 Eb3 PD 2002 and EB2 PD 2007.
